Forest Brown and Forest Green, the marbles that immerse you in nature

« Forest Brown » and « Forest Green »:
here is the difference between two apparently similar but different marbles if you want to immerse yourself in nature.

When « Forest Brown » and « Forest Green » marble are right for you

If you are thinking of using natural marbles such as Forest in your renovation plan, read what I recommend to already have an idea about the differences between these two marbles.

Forest Brown or Forest Green?

Or rather: would you prefer to immerse yourself in a forest with warm autumn colours such as brown, carmine red? In this case, choose « Forest Brown » marble.

Or would you prefer to walk through a relaxing green forest in contact with nature that reminds you of the splashing water of a distant stream? So « Forest Green » marble is better for you.

These are the only two differences of these marbles. And yes, they are two marbles identical in technical features but different in colours.

Let's see the features of « Forest Brown » and « Forest Green » marbles

Coming from the deposits of India, they are the surprising result of centuries of evolution of the earth when it was still under water. The metamorphic process and the composition of different minerals characterise the two colour variations, the only technical and visual difference between the two marbles.

Both have ramified veins, most likely due to old fossilised tree roots, that make each slab a unique piece.

This makes it possible to create floors with book matches, i.e. an interplay of symmetrical geometries in the installation of the floor, wall or whatever.

Compactness, strength, hardness and high flexural strength are the main features of these marbles.

« Forest Brown » is a marble with warm autumn colours, on a beige – brown background with brown, golden, bronze and dark veins.

« Forest Green », on the other hand, is a marble with a green background colour that reminds you of rainforest colours with bronze veins tending towards dark red or better brown.

Recommended uses for « Forest Brown » and « Forest Green » marbles

« Forest Green » and « Forest Brown » marbles are both suitable for mainly home use to avoid degradation with exposure to the sun and the weather.

Excellent for internal claddings and furnishing details such as in a living room, creating, with « Forest Green » or « Forest Brown » marble, real natural paintings on the walls, for kitchen tops, for covering fireplaces, for flooring, staircases, thresholds, bathrooms, spas, shower corners, and so on.

Either by covering the entire room, or by creating geometric plays by alternating with other materials such as ceramics. It all depends on what you dream of, what you want to achieve and above all, where you achieve it as well as using the colours you like.

Let me explain…

We applied « Forest Brown » marble in an ultra – modern kitchen as well as in an extremely classic kitchen. We made tables but also real paintings with « Forest Green » marble. It all depends on your tastes and ideas, which we will carry out together.

If you have to furnish a living room that overlooks a garden, perhaps with a large window, « Forest Green » marble would be an excellent choice, as it would give a sense of continuity of the garden inside the living room, perhaps for covering a fireplace. Or, if the latter is not in your plan, you can create inserts of « Forest Green » marble in the flooring with games in the central part of the living room. They will have their effect assured and even better if everything is coordinated with a dining room table also made of « Forest Green » marble.

You will give that sense of continuity of the external environment with the internal one by making the latter very large and bright to the eye.

Even in a bathroom, the use of « Forest Green » marble is excellent to give that sense of natural environment with shelves, washbasin tops, shower trays or shower corner.

« Forest Brown » marble, on the other hand, is more suitable for environments where wood is already the dominant feature.

It is excellent for covering both open and electric fireplaces. It is also used in more classical kitchens to create worktops where the basic beige colour of the « Forest Brown » marble, rich in bronze brown veins, will recall the kitchen doors and anything else in Italian walnut or American walnut in the furniture.

If, on the other hand, you like to overturn furnishing concepts with innovation, you can combine the table, top or kitchen worktop in « Forest Brown » marble with white furniture. The effect is very modern in style but it is all a matter of taste. This is to underline how well an ancient marble can blend with the modern.

« Forest Brown » is also excellent in a classic bathroom for the washbasin and top, but it also goes well in a wellness centre where the light, warm shades of this marble will give well – being to body and soul, contributing to the sense of relaxation that a warm, natural environment can provide.
